James Paul Bunnell

James Paul Bunnell, age 78 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa with Rev. Mitch Williams officiating the services.  Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.   James was born on January 9, 1935 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Burt Frances Bunnell and Clara Anne (Bates) Bunnell.  He married Betty Bent on September 1, 1962 in San Jose, California.  James was a self-employed carpenter.  He is survived by, one daughter, Carla Hammack of Konawa; five grandchildren, Katrina King of Krebs, Oklahoma, Zoie Harmon of McLoud, Oklahoma, Sarah Willson of McAlester, Oklahoma, Jamie Hammack of Maine, and Priscilla Badgett of Graneda Hills, California; four great grandchildren, Fayth Walsh of Krebs, Oklahoma, Grady Walsh of Krebs, Oklahoma, Logen Willson of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Riley Willson of McAlester, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Clara Bunnell and his wife, Betty Bunnell on September 21, 2012.
