Seminole resident James Theodore Baser passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the age of 84 at his home.rnrnHe was born on January 18, 1922 to Lewis Franklin and Ica Dora (Roberts) Baser in Fairland, Oklahoma. He married Ruth Stuart Baser in 1991 in Winnsboro, Texas she preceded him in death on June 1, 2003.rnrnJames was a homebuilder and a construction superintendent for LaQuinta Inns for many years he retired at the age of 62. He is a member of the Assembly of God Church. rnrnHe is survived by sons: Darrell Baser of Balch Springs, Texas and Steve Baser of Carrollton, Texas, daughter Carolyn Kernal of Seminole, Oklahoma, three brothers: Gerald Baser of Grove, Oklahoma, Owen Baser of Sacramento, California and Hershel Baser of Sacramento, California, three sisters: Wanda (Aileen) Swartz of Phoenix, Arizona, Reva Allee of Aurora, Colorado and Thelma Poindexter of Clovis, California. Four grandchildren Denice Lane, Chad Kernal and Josh Baser also survive him as well as five great grandchildren, Ali, Kade, Cassidy, Brendan and Rachel.rnrnThe mother of his children Vera Baser, his parents, wife Ruth Baser and grandson Chris Baser precedes him in death.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
