James "Jimmy" Adams

James Lloyd “Jimmy” Adams, 57 year old Asher, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life December 13, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He was born May 22, 1961 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Elmer “Jody” Adams and Marie (Mayabb) Adams. Jimmy owned and operated “Adams Painting and Construction” for several years. He married Carla Sue (Lehman) Adams, sadly she preceded him in death on January 11, 2016. Survivors include one son, Joshwa James Adams of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four daughters, Lacey Carey and her husband Edward of Bethel, Oklahoma, Joeleen Adams and her wife Samantha of Dale, Oklahoma, Billi Joa Adams of Asher, Oklahoma, Cheyeann Adams of Asher, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jody Adams and his wife Sandra of Colorado, Jerry Adams and his wife Nari of Missouri; one sister-in-law, Christy Lehman and her son, Derrick Lehman both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, Nevaeh, Essence, Prince, Edward Jr., Kaylum, Elizabeth, Jamison and Dawson; any by a host of other family and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Jody and Marie Adams, and by his wife Carla Sue (Lehman) Adams. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Jody Adams officiating the service.  Jimmy will be laid to rest next to his wife Carla at Wanette Cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma.
