Jacqueline “Jackie” Lynn McAlvain, 73, longtime Seminole resident and educator, died Monday, July 16, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jacqueline was born December 23, 1944 in Alba, Missouri to Mack Jasper Fox, Sr. and Carmel Pauline (Crutcher) Fox. Jacqueline was retired from Seminole Public Schools where she taught First Grade at Wilson Elementary for several years. Jacqueline attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where she received her Masters of Education degree. She enjoyed reading and being with her family at events. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma and served as a Pink Lady at the Seminole Hospital. Jacqueline married James W. McAlvain on June 8, 1963 in Alba, Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2009. Jacqueline is survived by her three sons; Russell McAlvain and his wife Ladonna , Brian McAlvain and his wife Sherri , and Brad McAlvain all of Seminole, Oklahoma, one sister Sally Lippert and four grandchildren; Chad McAlvain and his wife Charity, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Lauren McAlvain, Paige McAlvain and Brynna McAlvain all of Seminole, Oklahoma and two great grandchildren; Liam McAlvain and Freya McAlvain of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Donald Ray Fox and Mack Fox, Jr. and two sisters; Mary Ellen Lionberger and Betty Gene McDaniel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Pollock officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, east of Seminole. Casket bearers will be Russell McAlvain, Brad McAlvain, Brian McAlvain, Chad McAlvain, Chris Chesser and Stephen Howard. Honorary bearers will be the Pink Ladies from the Seminole Hospital.
