Jacob “Jake” Jackson Dorrough, 74 Longtime, Seminole resident Jacob “Jake” Jackson Dorrough passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 in Ada, Oklahoma. Jake was born January 9, 1937 in Paris, Arkansas to parents; Rasmus Ray Dorrough and Cornelius Maxine(Rogers) Dorrough. Jake worked in the oil field for Moran Oil Company and was of the Pentecostal faith. Jake is survived by three sons; Mike White and his wife Brenda of Bowlegs,Oklahoma, Eugene White and his wife Sonja of Wolf, Oklahoma and Jake Dorrough and his wife Diane of Wolf, Oklahoma, two daughters; Mary Elliot and her husband Larry of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Ellen McBroom of St. Louis, Oklahoma and Betty Wilson of Konawa, Oklahoma. Jake is also survived by brothers; Dwain Pitts and his wife Della of St. Louis, Oklahoma, Steve Pitts of Maud, Oklahoma and Jerry Dorrough and his wife Alice of St. Louis, Oklahoma and sisters; Linda Cantrell and her husband Steve of Arkansas, Kathy Jones and her husband Rick of Texas and Danny and Kenny Dorrough both of Texas. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. Jake was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Jean, , five sisters, two brothers and grandsons; Josh and Andrew McBroom and granddaughter; Leah Hanson. Funeral services are set for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 29, 2011, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Dorrough Family Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers; Tommy Monks, Leon Marlow, John Raines, Buddy Gore, Jake Dorrough and Quinton Pitts Honorary bearer will be Bobby Hasbell, Eugene White, Mike White, Mitch Worley, Mike Worley and John Gore.
