Shawnee resident, Jacob Edward Anderson, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the age of 23.
Jacob, the son of David and Esther (King) Anderson, was born September 27, 2001, in Shawnee. A home school student, he graduated from high school in 2020. Jacob had a very fulfilling and active life; he enjoyed creating multi-ethnical dishes and working with wood and metal, shooting guns, hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader which went hand in hand with his desire to learn. Jacob loved riding his motorcycle and he was very patriotic. Music was a passion of Jacob's, and he could play almost any instrument you put in front of him. He practiced this talent by playing the bass in church and during high school was a member of the Heartland Homeschool Band and Strings where he played the upright bass in Advanced Jazz. Jacob was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, and a goal realized through CAP was his garnering of a private pilot’s license. He had a giving spirit. Jacob worked for South Central Industries, in Shawnee. SCI is a non-profit organization/family in Shawnee that provides vocational training to those with special needs. After several tornadoes hit the area, he volunteered to clean up and offered a kind hand of support to people in need. He had a servant’s heart for those who were hurting and in need, but his ultimate heart’s desire was to honor, love and serve God all his days. He did that.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leroy Anderson and Mary Salazar.
Jacob is survived by his parents, David and Esther Anderson, of the home; siblings, Trey Anderson of Knoxville, TN, Sarah Carter of Sapulpa, Joshua Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Darren Anderson, Caroline Anderson and Emmaleigh Anderson all of the home.
