Jackie Arnold Robinson, 76, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jackie was born July 23, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Sherman Robinson and Lelia (Rumsey) Robinson. Jackie served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, from 1964 to 1968. During his service time with the U.S. Navy he served on river patrol boats during the war and later as a LST radioman. For his service he was awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service medal with 2 bronze stars, Meritorious Unit Citation Medal and the National Defense Medal. Jackie retired from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma after 30 years as a TDR Inspector. Jackie married the mother of his children, Linda Diane (Lovett) Robinson on May 1, 1972 and she preceded him in death on October 29, 1999, after her death he married Debbie (Vandever) Robinson on November 7, 2001 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jackie enjoyed roller skating in his younger days, fast cars and boats and was a Ham Radio Operator. Jackie is survived by his wife Debbie Robinson of the home, one son Andrew Robinson and his wife Lisa of Maud, Oklahoma, his daughter Diana Harnish and her husband Patrick Harnish of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two sisters Cleo Dent of Russell, Kansas, and Emma Whitehead of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, six grandchildren Destiny Robinson, Brooklyn Robinson, Donald Harnish, Chesley Harnish, Linda Harnish and Jack Harnish. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Tony Robinson, one sister Gwendolyne Presley, two brothers, Reford Robinson and Donald Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Butch Bradley officiating, Burial will follow at Little Cemetery with U. S. Navy military honors. There will be a family luncheon at Noon on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Trinity Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Maud, Oklahoma.
