Jack Lucy

Jackie Lavoy “Jack” Lucy, 68 year-old, life long area resident passed from this life January 3, 2010 at his home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.  He was born April 28, 1941 in Maud, Oklahoma to parents Robert Garland Lucy and Ruth Deloris (Pratt) Lucy.   Jack graduated from Harjo High School in 1958 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army.  He later worked as an electrician helper until his retirement.   Jack is survived by his companion of 30 years, Joyce Townsend of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; two sons, Robert Garland Lucy of Enid, Oklahoma and Hiley James Lucy of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Nancy Lucy of Maud; 5 grandchildren and a very special step-grandson, Harley Burgess.   Jack is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Garland “Loy” Lucy and Irvin “Leroy” Lucy; and by one sister, Luree Hudson.   Cremation services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.   Private family services are scheduled for a later date.
