Jack Ladd

Jack Ladd was born on November 16, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to John and Marie (Simmons) Ladd.  He passed away on November 18, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 67. Jack grew up in the Plant 13 area.  He attended and graduated from Bowlegs School in 1961. After graduation he joined the National Guards, he later returned to Seminole and worked for the Wackers Store and managed several of their stores in Texas.  He then went to work for C & H Trucking as a salesman.  He returned to Seminole in 1982 and began his career in car sales.  After working in several dealerships he purchased his own used car lot “Williamson Motors” in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Due to health issues he was forced to close the lot. Jack leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Keturah (Dawson) Ladd of the home, whom he married on September 29, 1993, son; John Michael Ladd of Hominy, Oklahoma, step-daughter, Branish Bowen of Seminole, Oklahoma, step-son, Branon Bowen and wife, Amber of Seminole, Oklahoma, his greatest joy 3 grandsons, Austin Bowen “Joe Bob”, Peyton Bowen “Leroy”, and Dawson Carney “Skipper” all of Seminole.  He gave them all special nicknames.  Two sisters, Joyce Mainord of Seminole, Oklahoma, Betty and Bob Morrison of Vamoosa, Oklahoma and many other family and dear friends.  He is preceded in death by his dad on February 7, 1984 and his mother on October 26, 1985. Jack loved nature, deer hunting; working his cows and was a Dallas Cowboy fan.  He always saw the beauty in everything and everyone. He was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church where he and Keturah were both baptized by Pastor Roy Robertson on March 25, 2001. A special thanks to Dr. Kelli Koons,  Shawnee Medical Clinic,  The Staff of Health Back of Seminole, Jeremy Tackett his physical therapist and Kindra Wilcox his nurse who became like a daughter to him. Jack will be greatly missed and remembered by his beautiful smile. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 :00 P.M., Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Bowlegs Assembly of God, Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Pastor Roy Robertson officiating. Pallbearers will be: Branon Bowen, Chuck Plunkett, Gary Mainord, Mike Jackson, Ben Williams, Erick Williams. Honorary Bearers will be Jerry Martin, Kyle Kendrick, Brian Williams and Joe Morrison.
