Ivory Overstreet Jr., 67 year old lifelong Lima, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the fifth child born to parents Ivory Overstreet, Sr. and Carrie (Johnson) Overstreet on October 16, 1947 in Lima, Oklahoma. Ivory graduated from Lima High School in 1965, where he excelled in Basketball. Following high school he moved to Washington D.C. for many years before returning to his home town. Ivory and his wife Francine Overstreet lived in Lima until her passing in 2009. Ivory worked as a welder for many years. Ivory leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Cheryl and her husband James Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Stephine Johnson of Washington D.C.; three grandsons; two special aunts, Annie Lee Johnson and Marie Overstreet both of Lima, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ivory is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and seven siblings. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Lima Senior Citizens Building with Rev. Frank Washington officiating. Funeral Information: March 21, 2015, 10:00 AM
