Irene “ Mac” Robinson, 85, longtime Seminole resident died Monday, August 29, 2011 at her home in Seminole. She was born on March 5, 1926 in Barre,Vermont to John and Helen (Fettes) McAndrew. Irene worked at several Indian Health Clinic’s as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner in her career of 37 years, at the Claremore Indian Hospital, Okemah Indian Health Clinic, Tahlequah Health Clinic and retired from Shawnee Health Clinic and retired in 1984. Irene was a nurse’s cadet at Boston Massachusetts General Hospital where she trained. Irene loved bowling, crafts and crocheting. She married Don A. Robinson on September 18, 1986 in Seminole, Oklahoma; he survives her of the home. She is also survived by three sons; James “Buddy” Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John M. Brown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Duncan Leo Brown of Alexander, Virginia and one granddaughter, Amanda Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen McAndrew, her first husband, Leo Brown, the father of her children and two brothers; John and Harry McAndrew. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
