Joyce ?Inez? (Hale) Bowers, 67 year-old lifelong Maud resident, passed from this life Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Unity Health Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born December 30, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents O.B. ?Dump? Hale and Nina Pearl (Brooks) Hale.rnrnInez graduated from Maud High School with the class of 1959. She worked driving a school bus for Maud Public Schools for seven years and then worked in housekeeping at Unity Health Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma for 15 years until her retirement.rnrnInez married Lon J. Bowers on July 13, 1964 in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2005. Inez was also active in her community as a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma, The Red Hat Society, American Legion Auxiliary and the W.M.U. at Trinity Baptist Church.rnrnSurvivors include three sons and daughters-in-law; Curtis and his wife Paula Bowers, Floyd Bowers and twin brother, Lloyd and his wife Glenda Bowers all of Maud, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Keith Johnson of Smithville, Texas. Other survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Ollie Hale of McKinney, Texas and one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Charles Pack of Madill, Oklahoma.rnrnNine grandchildren also survive; Steven Bowers, Glen Alan Bowers, Jarrod Bowers, Susan Streeter, Jennifer Chaffin, Jackie Porterfield, Sydn?ee Tucker, Brytnee Tucker and Thad Tucker as well as 16 great grandchildren.rnrnInez is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lon Bowers (July 2, 2005), and by one great granddaughter Hunter Chaffin.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ? Saturday ? March 29th, 2008 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Rev.
