Imogene Bernice "Skip" (Heard) Meadows

Imogene Bernice (Heard) “Skip” Meadows, age 69 and a resident of Vamoosa, Oklahoma, passed away Friday evening, April 21, 2017 at her home. A graveside memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Lone Dove Cemetery, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Skip was born July 5, 1947 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to William Triver Heard and Vera Mae (Baker) Heard.  She worked in a wide variety of fields during her working years including hair styling, truck driving, working in the oilfield, manufacturing, and working for Wal-Mart.  She was proud to help Audra open the Konawa Wellness Center.  Skip enjoyed being with her family and friends more than anything else. She is survived by one daughter, Audra Smith of Norman, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Jamie “Donnie” Smith of Konawa; and special friend, Roger Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vera Heard; her husband, Billy Meadows; and two brothers, Tadpole and Dennis Heard.  Funeral Information: April 30, 2017, 2:00 PM Graveside Memorial Service at Lone Dove Cemetery, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa located at 217 N.
