Imogene Dicken, Shawnee resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Warr Acres at the age of 95. She was born on March 7, 1929 in Seminole, OK to William Robert and Clara Edith (Kitchen) McDaniel. She was raised in Seminole. She married Sam Wynn and moved to Missouri where she lived most of her life.
Imogene enjoyed needle point and antiquing. She was a member of Victory Church in Shawnee and Bethany Assembly of God Church in Bethany. She loved her church and loved listening to old gospel hymns.
Imogene is survived by two brothers, John Jay McDaniel of Apache Junction, AZ and Theo McDaniel of Winslow, AZ; two sisters, Ida Calaway of Owasso, OK and Mary Sarver of Humble, TX and many other family and friends.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; spouses, Sam Wynn and James Fletcher Dicken; sisters, Maxine Armstead, Edna Wilhoite, Martha Timmons and Goldie McDaniel; brothers, Sam McDaniel, Alfred McDaniel and Bob McDaniel.
Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Little Cemetery with Charles Jones officiating.
