Idalena (Larney) Warden

Idalena (Larney) Warden, 68 year old Shawnee, Oklahoma resident and former Seminole resident, passed from this life Monday, November 11, 2019 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born October 10, 1951 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Malinda (Alexander) Mitchell and John Larney. Idalena enjoyed marbles, basketball games, bingo, stomp dances, pow wows, Church, casinos and going to the movies “so she could go to sleep”. Idalena worked as a laundress in the dry cleaning industry.  She would walk from Seminole to Shawnee to go to work.  She worked on her car when her car was down. Whatever she needed to do to get things done she would do it. One of the last things that she did and was dedicated to, was keeping the family together.  She made sure birthdays and holidays were special for everyone in the family.  Everyone is together with her today one last time, but she will be in our hearts forever! Survivors include three sons: Duane Cornell Ataddlety of Shawnee, Ok, Christopher Don Ataddlety of Shawnee, Ok, Brian Keith Mitchell of Seminole, Ok, two daughters: Annette Ataddlety and her spouse Nathan Barber of Seminole, Ok, Memory Mae Mitchell and her spouse Jason Stumblingbear of Shawnee, Ok, one brother: Simon Larney of Konawa, Oklahoma, two sisters Cecelia Barnett of Wetumka, Oklahoma, and Shirley Walters of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 13 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Idalena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alex Mack Warden who died September 18, 2016, by one daughter Lydia Lynn Mitchell, by one son Daniel Ataddlety, by four sisters and two brothers. Wake services are scheduled for Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Kevin Fox and Mr. Manning will officiate the service. Casket Bearers will be: Derrek Mitchell, Nathaniel Barber, Anthony Barber, Brian Q. Mitchell, Mark Washington Jr., Jacob Ataddlety and Michael Mitchell. Honorary Bearers will be: Tim Bear, David Walters, Joe Burgess, Joshua Larney and Kent Alford Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
