Howard Reynolds

Howard Lewis Reynolds, 82 year-old, Tecumseh resident passed from this life Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born October 3, 1927 in Stidham, Oklahoma to parents Lewis Stanton Reynolds and Ruby (Stephens) Reynolds. Howard married Doris June Shafer on January 31, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas.  He worked as a self-employed auto mechanic until his retirement.  Together they had lived in Payson, Arizona before retuning to central Oklahoma six years ago.  He attended the Bowlegs First Assembly of God Church. Mr. Reynolds leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Doris June (Shafer) Reynolds; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Kathie Reynolds of Spencer, Oklahoma and Leslie Howard and Sherrie Reynolds of Asher, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Richards of Calvin, Oklahoma, Vickie and Glen Canfield of Bowlegs, Oklahoma and Sharon and Dennis Beringer of Yukon, Oklahoma; two brothers, Dale Gene Reynolds and Lewis “Jr.”  Reynolds, Jr. both of El Reno, Oklahoma; three sisters, Ruby Helen Kuykendall of Nebraska, Pauline Elkins of Seminole, Oklahoma and Sue Moore of Yukon, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Howard is preceded in death by his parents and by two grandchildren, Leslie “Scott” Reynolds and Leslie “Kyle” Reynolds. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2010 at Bowlegs First Assembly of God Church located on Hwy 99 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma.  Pastor Roy Robertson will officiate the service.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery north of Seminole. Casket Bearers will be: Mark Reynolds, Justin Canfield, Nathan Reynolds, Travis Canfield, Sean Reynolds and Chance North. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Dennis Lee Reynolds, Leslie Howard Reynolds, Glen Canfield, Dennis Beringer and Jerry Richards.
