Howard Dale Barnes

Howard Dale Barnes, 78, of Seminole, Oklahoma, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Seminole. Howard was born April 3, 1940, in Yates Center, Kansas to Albert Dale Barnes and Velora (Laude) Barnes.     Howard was a long time manager at Sight ‘N Sound for thirty years.  He worked at Wal-Mart in the produce section for more than ten years.  Howard attended business school after his high school graduation. Howard enjoyed working in his garden and lawn care. Howard was married to Mary Inez Hoppes on October 18, 1960 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Howard is survived by his loving wife, Mary,  of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, two sons and daughters-in-law; Micheal and Julie Barnes of Muncie, Indiana, David and Dawn Barnes of Fairfax, Virginia, two daughters and son-in-law; Angela and John Swigart of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Lisa Wells of Seminole, Oklahoma, one brother, Chris Barnes and seven sisters; Joyce Rasmussen, Joetta Asbury, Evelyn Ehrsam, Myrtle Heronime, Margaret Mobley, Henrietta Spaulding, and Barbara Butts, thirteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018, at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
