Honor Louise (Johnson) Hishaw, 64 year-old Wewoka resident passed from this life on March 14, 2011 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was born March 18, 1946 in Konawa, Oklahoma to parents Ercy “Doebelly” Johnson and Sylvia (Nero) Johnson. Honor graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1964. She had worked for Allen Bradley; Central Plastic both in Shawnee and later for the City of Wewoka. She was a member of the Eastern Star; Red Hat Society and the Jet Setters. She was also of the Baptist faith. Honor married Willie Albert Hishaw and he preceded her in death in 2008. She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Willie Albert Hishaw III of Hominy, Oklahoma; two daughters, Audrey M. Berry of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Joycetta and MarkusHishaw of Shawnee, Oklahoma; six sisters, Carolyn and Kenneth Edwards of New Lima, Oklahoma, Donna and Ronnie Talton of Bethel, Oklahoma, Etta and Monty Louis of Bixby, Oklahoma, Wilzetta Edwards of Seminole, Oklahoma, Lajune White of Birmingham, Alabama, Mae Helen Johnson of Wichita, Oklahoma; a special niece, Marie Glass of Phoenix, Arizona; special friend Elwood “James” Black of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bonnie Bray of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and one sister-in-law, Lena Owens of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Honor is preceded in death by her parents; by her husband; two sisters, Juanita Brannon and Ida B. Mackin, Ercy D. Johnson, Ernie Mae Stanfill; brothers, Earnest “Chappy” Johnson, Willie Leroy Johnson and Arthur Lee Johnson. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Wewoka, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Rev. Laskey will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
