Herman Lee Gunter, 76 Herman Lee Gunter, long time Seminole resident passed away, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Herman was born November 3, 1938 in Pope County Arkansas to parents, Virgil and Cynthia Anna (Harris) Gunter. Herman grew up in the Seminole area, graduating in 1957 from Seminole High School where he played football. He joined the United States Army, and while in Germany he served in the communications branch. He also was a member of Heartland Family Church and the Seminole Bass Club. He loved to hunt and fish. Herman retired from the oil field industry where he worked for Reeves & Wilson Case & Pulling. Herman is survived by two brothers, Lester Gunter, of Seminole, Oklahoma and Herb Gunter and his wife Liz of Seminole, Oklahoma; nieces, Sonia Scott of Seminole, Oklahoma, Carrie Nault and her husband Kyle of Ardmore, Oklahoma; great nieces, Katie Scott of Seminole, Oklahoma, Kyla Nault of Frisco, Texas; and great nephews, Colby Scott of Seminole, Oklahoma and P.T. Nault of Pasadena, Texas. Herman was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Cynthia"Anna" Gunter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Napier officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Kyle Nault, Colby Scott, Bill Hooten, Rickey Conner, Buster Wilcox and Johnny Henson.
