Helen Pauline Senter

Helen Pauline Senter, Norman, OK resident, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87. Helen was born on December 18, 1937 in Exeter, MO to Cecil Long and Frances (Ball) Long. She was raised in Neosho, MO where she graduated high school in 1955. Helen married Mark Senter on April 7, 1957 in Neosho. In 1977 she and Mark moved to Oklahoma. She earned her degree in business management at Oklahoma Baptist University in 1983. 

Helen was a private person but she was driven in her work and a dedicated homemaker for her family. Over the years she worked as a supervisor for FAA and as assistant registrar at OBU. She was pianist at Etowah Baptist Church and served alongside her husband while he was in education ministry at First Baptist Church in Seminole. Helen loved music including playing piano, guitar and harmonica. She enjoyed singing in church. Helen also knew American Sign Language and incorporated that in her ministry in church. 

 Helen is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Marla Senter Morris and Christopher Morris of Houston, TX and Mindy and Ron Campbell of Cedar Vale, KS; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other family and friends. 

 Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband. 

Viewing will be at 11:00 a.m. at Robinson Street Baptist Church located at 801 E. Robinson Street, Norman, Oklahoma prior to the funeral service. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Robinson Street Baptist Church. Pastor Ivan Moore will be officiating. Interment will follow at Denver Cemetery located East of Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
