Helen “Lucille” Reynolds passed peacefully at the age of 83 on February 10, 2021 at her longtime home in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born February 19, 1937 in Decatur, Alabama to James And Inez (Wallace) Rogers. She married Dan Reynolds on September 4, 1954 in Hartwell, Georgia after only knowing each other for 19 days. They were happily married for 60 years until Dan’s passing on June 20, 2015.
Lucille loved to read books of many genres, watch OKC Thunder games, crime, mystery and old British comedy TV shows. She loved the hottest, spiciest food she could get, which was never “hot enough” for her. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, painting, embroidering, cooking and driving Dan around many lakes to water ski.
She traveled the world with her husband and daughters for over 30 years with CBI, the company that Dan would retire from after 37 years. She would help many of the wives and families adjust to living in foreign countries. She taught many how to cook meals with a rare or limited food supply. She would go as far as to having some ingredients flown over from home just so many workers and families could have a familiar home cooked meal. She was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet and was known to many people as Lucille, Mama Lucy, Momo and Grandma.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memories with her daughters Diana Sullivan of Seminole, Oklahoma and Danette Reynolds and her husband Lynn Huckaby of Bakersfield, California, granddaughter Danelle Sullivan and fiance’ Joey Ipock of Seminole, Oklahoma, great granddaughter; Jaylee Ipock of Seminole, sister; Billie Jean England of Florida, nieces and nephews; Andrea Dailey of Arizona, Karen and Bob Alter of Colorado, Tom Reynolds of Colorado, Gary Reynolds of Seminole, Oklahoma and Kim and Leland Means of California, Marcy England, Brenda England and Ginger England Burrows, all of Florida, special family friends; Sandy Hodges Smith of Seminole, Norma Tiger of Seminole, Ms. Veronica Bernard and family of Earlsboro and a slew of countless friends from all over the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Rogers and Inez (Wallace) (Rogers) Racicot and her husband Dan Reynolds.
