Helen Ann Jackson- Lennard

Helen Ann (Ishmael) Jackson Lennard, 90, longtime Seminole resident died, Friday April 13, 2018 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Helen was born September 23, 1927, in Atoka, Oklahoma to Melvin S. Ishmael and Carmen (Roddy) Ishmael. Helen worked as clerk in the water department for the City of Seminole, Oklahoma for over 25 years. Helen was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was always there for the family in every way. Her greatest pleasure was being in the kitchen cooking, making her pies for the family and her friends. These are the memories the family will miss as they mourn her loss. Helen is survived by her children; Patsy Hamilton and her husband Wendell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Ron Jackson and his wife Linda of Stratford, Oklahoma and Tanya Benson of Dallas, Texas. Her grandchildren; Kim Carroll of Bixby, Oklahoma, Shane and Angela Jackson of Gerty, Oklahoma, Tyson and Erin Jackson of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Jon and Kim Hamilton of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Christopher and Jeannette Hamilton of Grapevine, Texas, Chris and Lisa Hamilton of Norman, Oklahoma and Greg and Eric Hamilton of Redlands, California. Great grandchildren Justin Jackson, Danielle Jackson Wyrick, Morgan Roberson, Holly Elliott, Haley Elliot, Joshua Hamilton, Kelsey Hamilton, Saskia Hamilton, Ingrid Hamilton, Ella Jackson, Shayde Jackson, Brooke Hamilton, Heather Hamilton, Tanner and Tyler Jarrett great greatgrandchildren; Harper Jones, Dusty Sims, Presleigh Roberson, and Bryson Jarrett, also by her brothers; Melvin Ishmael, Jr., Gordon Ishmael, Marvin Ishmael, sister Carolyn Chaffin, Martha Morse, Jean Stamps and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Archie Jackson and Robert Lennard, brothers John Ishmael and Hal Ishmael and a sister, Lillian Frank. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be; Shane Jackson, Tyson Jackson, Jon Hamilton, Christopher Hamilton, Justin Jackson, Robert Cole and Joshua Hamilton. Honorary bearers will be Greg Hamilton, Chris Hamilton, Roger Carrol and Brent Bain. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
