Helen Jean Adams, 75, longtime Seminole resident, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Seminole Care and Rehab in Seminole. Helen was born December 2, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Everett and Ruby Evans. Helen was a longtime bookkeeper for many businesses in Seminole, including Moran-Kahn Oil. She was the owner of EKG Operating, and In February of 1987, she opened “Lunch and Such Restaurant" in Seminole, Oklahoma and owned with her family and was active until her health would not allow her to continue working. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Seminole and a graduate of Varnum High School. She was married to Winford Leon Adams on February 20, 1960 at the First Christian Church in Seminole and they were married 53 years before his death on November 14, 2013. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Brian and Brandi Adams of Seminole, Oklahoma; three granddaughters; Gracie Adams, Ava Adams and Marin Adams; two brothers; Raymond and Georgia Lee Evans of Arlington, Texas and Junior and Carolyn Evans of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters; Lucille Gist of Seminole, Oklahoma and Grace Hargis of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graveside services will held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, October 16, 2016.
