Seminole resident Hazel Gwyndolyn ?Gwyn? White passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 91.rnrnHazel was born January 16, 1917, near Damascus, Arkansas, to David Clyde Jennings and Hattie Cline (Merchant) Jennings. Gwyn grew up in Wagoner, Oklahoma, with her four brothers, Gerald, Gale, Groffe and Glen. On October 12, 1938, she married J.U. White. rnThey established their home in Seminole. Gwyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole and was involved in numerous civic and cultural activities. She was loved by everyone she met and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brothers, Gerald, Gale and Glen. rnrnShe is survived by her son, Jim White, his wife Jane and their children, Jay and Mary Ellen, and her brother Groffe Jennings all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and numerous nephews and nieces. Gwyn will be welcomed home: ?Well done, my good and faithful servant.? rnrnA memorial service will be held at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, on Friday, March 21, 2008 at 2:00pm with Russell Vicars officiating.
