Hazel Mae Conatser, 75, longtime Seminole resident, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Seminole. Hazel was born March 28, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to James Kenneth Panick and Thelma (Zettlemoyer) Panick. She moved to Seminole in 1964 from Texas. Hazel was a homemaker and a 30 year volunteer with the “Pink Ladies” at Seminole Hospital. Hazel loved children and enjoyed kid’s sports and coached little league baseball for some time. She attended Trinity Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma Hazel married Harley F. “Buddy” Conatser on August 19, 1960 in Spearman, Texas. Harley preceded her in death on June 10, 2014. Hazel is survived by three sons and their spouses, Harley Conatser and his wife Teresa of Seminole, Oklahoma, Gary Conatser of Seminole, Oklahoma and Roger Conatser and his wife Lisa of Yukon, Oklahoma, two daughters and their spouses; Karla Leonidou and her husband Costa of California, and Sherry Smith and her husband John of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two brothers Chuck Panick of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ricky Lee Panick of Guthrie, Oklahoma; one sister Pauline Doss of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and a host of other dear family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers John Panick, Richard Panick and James Panick, two sisters Marie Panick and Elizabeth Panick. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating at the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8: 00 P.M., Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt Thank You to “Faith Hospice” and “Visiting Angels” for the outstanding care given to Hazel.
