Haskell Harley ?Chub? McClurernrnFuneral services for longtime Seminole resident Chub McClure are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield to officiate. A burial will follow at Little Cemetery, North of Seminole. rnrnHaskell was born on November 24, 1939 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Haskell R. and Freeda (Knappenberger) McClure. He was raised in Spaulding, Oklahoma and moved to Seminole in 1956 where he graduated from Seminole High School. rnrnHe served in the United States Army for over 11 years where he was in the 82nd Airborne Divison. He was a paratrooper and served a tour in Vietnam; he also served as crew chief on the U1A Otter Helicopter and earned the rank of Sergeant. After he retired from the military. The family owned and operated a bottling company in Seminole in the early 1970?s. rnrnHe is survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Patricia Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters: Pam Best of Morrison, Colorado and J?ona Moritz of Moreno Valley, two sons: Barry McClure of McAlester, Oklahoma, Keith McClure of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and California, sisters Verldine ?Geri? Huston of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Carrie Jean ?C.J.? Brasier of Choctaw, Oklahoma. rnrnHe is also survived by four grandchildren: Nicole McClure, KeiShawnda Green, Dylan McClure and Brenna Pierce, two great grandchildren: Landon Nicholas Limar and Theron Wayne Pierce and good friend Mel Johnson of Seminole. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Terry Boen, Donita Parker, Kellea Akkah, Michael Lee, Keisha Bachman and Carrie Huston.rnrnChub was a very adventurous and unique person and he loved to joke with people he cared about. rnrnPallbearers will be: Jim Robertson, John Anthony, Cliff Brasier, Mel Johnson and Willard Conner. rnrn Funeral Information: November 11, 2008, 2:00 AM
