Harvey H. Woody, 83 year old lifelong Seminole resident passed away at his home Friday, July 7, 2006. He was born February 13, 1923 in Possum Trot, Oklahoma (near Shawnee), to parents, James Monroe Woody and Rosa Denton (Maness) Woody.rnrnWoody had served in the United States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole.rnrnMr. Woody married Nova Helen (Branscum) on December 18, 1947 in Stroud, Oklahoma. He worked as Kerr-McGee from 1947 until his retirement in 1983 as superintendant of the Seminole pipeline district.rnrnWoody leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nova Woody of the home.rnrnSon-in-law, Ron Sheppard of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnThree sisters; Lou Harris of Mustang, Oklahoma, Edie Butler of Campwood, Texas and Louise Totten of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrnTwo grandchildren; Nova Dawn Bivens and her husband John of Seminole, Oklahoma and Michelle Simmons of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnFour great grandchildren; Lindsey Granados and her husband Ian of Gulfport, Florida, Grant Bivens of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jessie Simmons of Kilgore, Texas and Jamaie Simmons of Kilgore, Texas.rnrnOne great-great grandson, Jordon Simmons-Gordin of Kilgore, Texas.rnrnWoody is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Wanda Lee Sheppard, three brothers, Malcomb, Dan & Earl Woody and by one sister, Mamie Maynard.rnrnGraveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Little Cemetery, North of Seminole.
