Harry Harjo

Former longtime Seminole resident Harry James Harjo passed away on March 10, 2007 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He was born on September 1, 1940 to Joe and Bessie Harjo.rnrnHe attended the Sulphur School of the Deaf and loved camping and fishing with his family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert Harjo, Joe Holatha, Evan Harjo and one grandson Kevin Brown. rnrnHe is survived by his wife Nancy Harjo of the home, three daughters: Michelle Brown, Tammy Katzenmeier of Kansas, Kelly Ray of Okemah, and one son Rodger Sherman of Kansas, six sisters: Helen Tatum of Konawa, Arlinda Smith, Annie Harjo, Estella Berryhill, Faye Holatha, and Regina Holatha of Okemah, three brothers: Raymond ?Ringo? Harjo of Konawa, Lewis Holatha and Timmy Holatha of Okemah. rnrnHe is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. rnrnWake services will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm, Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.rnrnFuneral Services will be held on at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with a burial to follow at Williams Family Cemetery.rnrnPallbearers will be Chaz Lumley, Joseph Wolfe, Jeremy Culver, David Poston, Bryant Akerman and Brent Akerman.rnrnHonorary Pallbearers will be Mark Williams, David Brown, Rodger Sherman, Troy Fisher, Lindsey Bondoni, Charlie Williams, Jeff Harjo and Chad Huckleberry.rnrn Funeral Information: March 12, 2007, 1:00 AM
