Harold William Taft Riggle

Harold William Taft Riggle, age 103 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away at his home on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25th at Wanette Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Kevin Duck and Frank Brewer will officiate.  Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Bobby Riggle, Eddie Riggle, Jr., Billy Riggle, Jr., Kevin Riggle, Chris Riggle, and David Riggle.  Honorary pallbearers are Philip Idell, Kenneth Morgan, Steven Donnelly, Jason Loyd, Daniel Graham, and Bob Shepard.  Visitation will be at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Harold was born on June 17, 1909 in Asher, Oklahoma to Edward Harrison Riggle and Nora Alice (Havens) Riggle.  He married Lillian Maurice Wallace and was the Water Superintendent for the City of Asher.  He enjoyed playing the harmonica and raising cattle. He is survived by five sons, Billie Joe Riggle and wife, Nancy of Konawa, Bob O’Dell Riggle and wife, Stella of Asher, Charles Ray Riggle of Asher, Calvin Lee Riggle of Oklahoma City, and Scotty Harold Riggle of Asher; one daughter-in-law, Karen Riggle (widow of Eddie Riggle); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Harrison Riggle and Nora Alice (Havens) Riggle; his wife, Lillian Maurice (Wallace) Riggle; one son, Eddie Daniel Riggle, one daughter, Cora Fay Riggle; two brothers, Heber Elridge Riggle, and Eli Edward Riggle; and four sisters, Veva Eddna (Riggle) Romi, Mary Marecka (Riggle) Perkins, Loretta Amonda (Riggle) Boyce, and Gladis Pearle Riggle.
