Harold Lee Kinder, age 84 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15th at the Assembly of God Church in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pastor Steve Lowrance will officiate, and Mitch Williams will assist. Pallbearers are Kelley Neely, Robbie Kinder, Sean Weaver, Jeremy Weaver, Stephen Kuestersteffen, Mike Sharp, and Dakota Miller. Honorary Pallbearers are Elmo Phillips, Dylan Miller, Mike Calhoun, Freddy Carpenter, Doug Reed, Ken Scott, Harold Glover, Darrell Mackey, Bob Sanders, Matthew Kuestersteffen, and Willie Cloud. Harold was born on June 17, 1927 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to George Kinder and Cleo (King) Kinder. He married Minnie Bayne on December 24, 1948 in Konawa. He was a truck driver and equipment operator for Bates Drilling, Darrell’s Drilling, and for Seminole County, Dist. 1. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Konawa where he served as a Board Member for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, and he enjoyed working crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Minnie (Bayne) Kinder of the home and his daughter, Diana Kinder also of the home; one son, Vernon Kinder of Oklahoma City; three children that he and Minnie reared as their own, Ivoleta Mitchusson and husband, Ron of Konawa, Kim Weaver and husband, Roger of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Ray Roskopf of Ada, Oklahoma; one brother, Bob Kinder and wife, Judy of Byng, Oklahoma; two sisters, Wanda Neely of Konawa, and Sandra Hawkins and husband, Rick of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Crystal Miller, Sean Weaver, Niki Weaver, Lori Sharp, Jeremy Weaver, and Stephen Kuestersteffen; and eight great grandchildren, Dakota Miller, Dylan Miller, Max Noel, Harper Weaver, Kyler Sharp, Kaden Sharp, Connor Weaver, Cason Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
