Harlene Jewel (Dickerson) Wise, 85, former longtime Seminole resident, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Harrah, Oklahoma. She was born July 8, 1932 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Harvey Lee Shirey and Alizja Jewell (Turner) Shirey. Harlene had lived in Seminole until about 10 years ago. Harlene was retired from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma, after 32 years working as an aircraft mechanic. Harlene loved gardening, reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She is survived by her two sons; Gary Dickerson and his wife Janice of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Larry Dickerson and his wife Lynn of Waypti, Wyoming, one sister Donna Hart of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Vonnie Jo Webb, her first husband and father of her children, Richard Dickerson who died in 1977, her second husband Jack C. Wise, two brothers Bill Shirey and Buddy Shirey. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Little Cemetery with Harold Blankenship officiating.
