Ronnie Harjo, age 57 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, and Ronnie will be transported to his home located at 14169 NS 3570 for viewing. A Wake service is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 11th at Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12th at the church, and burial will follow at the Tebe Family Cemetery in Sasakwa. Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Thomas Little will officiate. Pallbearers are nephews, Jerome Hill, Anthony Hill, Norman Hill, Tommy Tebe, Eugene Harjo, Jr., Chuck Hulbutta, Johnson Hulbutta, and Hal Hulbutta. Honorary Pallbearers are Herman Foster, Phillip Daw, Jr. and Charles Burgess. Ronnie was born on September 26, 1954 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Francis Harjo and Charlie Davis. He married Wany Tebe on July 6, 1976. He served as a church deacon and a councilman, and he served on the board for the Housing Authority of the Seminole Nation. He was a member of the Tusekia Harjo Band. He is survived by his wife, Wany Harjo of the home; his mother, Francis Harjo of Konawa; two sons, Warren Harjo of Konawa, and Terence and Amber Harjo of Konawa; one daughter, Colleen and Phillip Daw, Jr. of Moodys, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Kelly Davis of Konawa, and Mickey Davis of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; and one sister, Terry Foster of Seminole, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Davis; infant son, Ronnie Lance Harjo; one brother, Anthony Davis; and his grandmother, Stella Cosar.
