Gyloise Margaret (Cordell) Kirk, 95, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Gyloise was born August 16, 1920 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to William Cordell and Eva (Page) Cordell. Gyloise was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ in Wewoka, Oklahoma, and the Seminole Round –Up Club. She loved riding horses, cooking, her specialty was her chicken –noodles, loved to can plums, quilting; having Open House at Christmas, at her house, for her senior citizen friends. She married Samuel Oscar Castoe on March 5, 1934 in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Gyloise was survived by three daughters; Ruby J. Raper of Konawa, Oklahoma, Florine Hill of Canadian, Oklahoma and Sammie Darline Jones of Eufaula, Oklahoma, a special niece Phyllis Aldridge, that gave so much of herself for Grandmal, eight grandchildren twelve great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She always loved her granddaughter Gina Raper who came to the nursing home and played “Amazing Grace”, and a special grandson, Jimmy Tolbert, who helped his Granmal over the years, gave and an abundance to her and his Granpal, Sam Castoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Billy Joe Cordell and Hugh Cordell, five sisters, Bobbie Craig, Aileen Cordell, Nancy Anthony, Jesse Mize and Sue Fitzke.
