Grover A. Lawson, Jr. former Seminole resident passed away July 3, 2007 in Hobbs,New Mexico at the age of 80.rnrnHe was born on March 28, 1927 in Florena, Kansas to Grover A. Lawson, Sr. and Helen (Jeffery) Lawson.rnrnGrover married Shirley ( Hankins) on April 25, 1958 in Brownfield, Texas, Grover was a member of V.F.W. Post 3274 where he served as commander and district commander. He served as district commander for the American Legion Post 26. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps. Grover was also a postal worker in Hobbs, New Mexico for over thirty years. After retiring from the postal service, he delivered trucks for Watson Trucks and Supply and served on the March of Dimes Board at Hobbs.rnrnHe is survived by his wife Shirley Lawson of Hobbs, New Mexico. Sons, Brover A. Lawons III of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Monty Lawson of Hinton, Oklahoma. Daughter Janice Brinesfield of Spring, Texas.rnOne Brother, George Lawson of Topeka, Kansas and Sister Mary Lockhart of Hubert, North Carolina and his uncle, Kenneth Plotner of Midland, Texas. 7 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildrenrnrnServices are set for 11:00 A.M., Monday July 9, 2007 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens east of Seminole.rn Funeral Information: July 8, 2007, 11:00 AM
