“Steve” Campbell, age 63, and a former long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, transitioned peacefully Saturday, July 29, 2017, in Springfield, Missouri after complications resulting from liver failure. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, 16006 S. Rock Creek Road in Shawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Mitch Williams will officiate. The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Steve was born February 2, 1954 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Paul Milton Campbell and Frances Jackie (Crenshaw) Campbell. He was a graduate of Konawa High School, and was a former Springfield business owner of Alterations Unlimited, avid cook, and gardener. He also was a barber, and a manager of Hanks Furniture Company. Above everything, he loved his family dearly. He is survived by his mother, Jackie (Campbell) Norback of Springfield, Missouri; two sons who were the light of his life, Matthew Campbell and wife, Cassie of Ozark, Missouri, and Kyle Campbell of Springfield; one older brother, Paul Monroe Campbell and wife, Peggy of Shawnee, OK; step-mother, Faye Campbell; two step-brothers, Jerry Townley and wife, Teresa of Washington, Oklahoma, and Tommy Townley of Edmond, Oklahoma; one step-sister, Patty Gatlin and husband, David of Meeker, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Lydia and Clara Campbell; five nieces and nephews, Susan Beadle, Jennifer Chenoweth, Melissa Campbell, Stacey Burgess, and Kristi Grass; and a host of other relatives and friends.
