Glynn Dwight Cornelius

Glynn Dwight Cornelius, age 74, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away March 6, 2020 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born to Bessie Jones on April 25, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He graduated from Seminole High School and was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. Glynn worked in security and surveillance at the Seminole Nation Casino. He was a member of the Mekusukey Baptist Church. Glynn enjoyed playing pool, coaching sports, going to the movies and all sports. Glynn is survived by sons; Ross Cornelius and Anna of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Troy Cornelius and Carol of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, daughter; Sherri Cornelius of South Dakota, sister; Thomasene Davis of Seminole, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Braydon and Rosslyn Cornelius, nieces; Alison Davis, Sena Yesslith and George, Jennifer Davis and Elisha Davis, great nephews; Owen Davis and Seth Horne and great nieces; Isabel Davis and Animal (Emmalee) Yesslith. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Darrell Cornelius and sister; Cynthia Galbreath. Wake services for Glynn will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with George Harjoche officiating. Burial will follow at Spraker Family Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Wendell Williams, Raymond Spraker, Braydon Cornelius, Trenton St. Germaine, Garrett Yesslith and Kyle Davis. Honorary bearers will be Eli Spraker, Ryan Spraker and Wendell Williams, Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
