Glenna Linette (Smith) Allison, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away at the age of 55 on January 27, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born February 23, 1965 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to parents Glen Smith and Darlene (Condulle) Smith. She was a graduate of Maud High School in Maud, Oklahoma where she grew up before moving to Seminole. Glenna married James Carl Allison on April 8, 1983 at Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Seminole. She was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
Glenna was a homemaker and a loving wife for 38 years and together for 40 years with the love of her life, James. She was a loving mother, the special kind of mother who created a “best friend” relationship with her son, Carl. She loved both of them with all her heart. She was the youngest sibling of three and was the “bossiest” of all of them. She was loyal to her family and friends and would do anything for them. She enjoyed watching cooking channels on television and trying new recipes, baking and going swimming in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
Glenna was a warrior and fought a long and hard battle with kidney disease. She was a strong woman of faith, loved the Lord and is now home with her heavenly father. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish Glenna’s memory are her husband; James Carl Allison of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, her son; Carl Allison and his wife Laura of Seminole, Oklahoma, her brother; Ferrel Smith and his wife Rosanne of Maud, Oklahoma, her sister; Lisa Silas of Stillwater, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Taylor Allison and Delilah Lynnette Allison and nieces and nephews; Kalyn Erickson, Kody Silas, Audrey Smith, DJ Allison, Stacey Allison, Pamela Allison, Joseph Allison, Felicia Corbett, Jody Allison, Candy Allison and Ashley Hamley. She was preceded in death by Danny and Else Allison.
Funeral services for Glenna will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Gene Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole.
Casket bearers will be Jerry Dunn, Darcey Scott, Bruce Carter, Cody Allison, Ralph Adams and Derrick Smith. Honorary bearers will be Clark Whitehead, Paul Sinor and Zack Scott.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
