Glenn Gene Hoover, 84 Glenn Hoover, former Seminole resident, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at his home in Cherokee, Kansas at the age of 84. Glenn was born on December 23, 1927 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma to parents, Earl Hoover and Orene (Rains) Hoover. He attended Lincoln School in Seminole, Oklahoma and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee, Kansas. Glenn worked for the Trinity Forge Company of Mansfield, Texas and retired from Forgy Plant as a tool and die maker. Glenn married Martha Jean Hooten on June 8, 1946 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Martha Jean preceded him in death on November 15, 2011. Glenn is survived by four sons, Everett Leland Hoover of Mansfield, Texas, Richard Allen Hoover of Pineville, Louisiana, Michael Ward Hoover of Cherokee, Kansas and James Edward Hoover of Cherokee, Kansas. Glenn is also survived by one sister, Mary Ellen Rafferty of Shawnee, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Orene and his wife Jean. Graveside funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Little Cemetery, Seminole county, Oklahoma.
