Glendon Fred Garner, Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed away on August 1, 2021 at the age of 87. He was born May 31, 1934 in Maud to Arthur Garner and Iva (Patterson) Garner. Glendon graduated from Maud High School where his nickname was “Tuffy Garner”. He lived for a while in Fort Worth, Texas, but came back to Maud. He married Margaret (Houck) Garner on July 13, 1955, but sadly she passed away on January 16, 2014.

Glendon was an oilfield pumper. He was a musician who enjoyed audio engineering and all kinds of electronics. He had an unauthorized radio station, “Radio Maud America”. He loved his family very much.

Glendon is survived by his son; Geoff Garner and his wife Kerri, his sister; Barbara Barner of Prague, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Lucrecia and Stacy Ragan, Dawnya and Steve Reese, Shelby Garner, Gavin Garner, Jake Garner, Ami Quary and Ryan Quary and great-grandchildren; Kierstin Hull, Marissa Cheatwood, Rayanna McDonald, Kenzie Ragan, Kourtnee Ragan and Tristan Reese. He was also survived by Suzanna Garner, who is the mother of Shelby, Gavin and Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Iva Garner, his wife; Margaret Lee Garner, his son; Glen Don Garner, daughter; Dianna Lee Palmer, brothers; Dale Garner, Bill Garner and Ray Garner.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30 to 7:30, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

The Funeral Service for Glendon will be at 10:30, Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Butch Bradley officiating.

Casket bearers will be Gavin Garner, Jake Garner, Paul Garner, Stacy Ragan, Gus Hill and Tristan Reese. Honorary bearer will be Steve Reese.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
