Glenda Glee Lewis

Glenda G Lewis, 94, of Maud, passed on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at her home.

Glenda, the daughter of Lee and Thelma (Mershon) Haley, was born March 8, 1927, in Higgins Texas.  January 8, 1945, Glenda married Togie Lewis, in Durant.  Glenda and Togie shared 69 years of marriage, prior to his death in February of 2014.  Glenda loved to sew and paint and she went to great lengths to insure that her flower gardens always looked nice.  Glenda was always at her best and most happy when she was spending time with and taking care of her family, which of course included cooking, Glenda was a tremendous cook.  Glenda was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Dusty Reed; a granddaughter, Mary Katherine Lewis; 1 brother, Rex Leroy Haley; and a sister, Gleda Buck.

Glenda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Melanie Lewis of Maud; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia “Dian” and Glen Koch of Seminole and Connie Lewis Reed of Maud; grandchildren, Justin Lewis and his wife Jennifer, Jeremy Lewis, and Clint Reed and wife Cynthia; and great grandchildren, Miles Natushi Lewis, Camden Jacob Reed, Hope Abigail Reed, and Caden Eli Reed, and many other family and friends.

Services will be Monday August 16, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, with Chaplain Garrett Napier officiating.  Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.  Pall bearers will be Justin Lewis and, Jeremy Lewis, Clint Reed, Miles Lewis, Tracy Sanders and Phillip Hoile.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
