Longtime Seminole resident Glen Smith passed away on December 16, 2009 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 74. He was born on October 14, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Lester M. and Mable (Logan) Smith. He graduated from Varnum High School and was a member of the Achena Presbyterian Church. He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years and was discharged in 1963. He married Darlene (Condulle) Smith on September 6, 1960 in Konawa, Oklahoma. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Darlene Smith of the home, three children; Farrel Smith of Maud, Glenna and James Allison of Seminole and Lisa and Kurtis Silas of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, two sisters, Wanda Joyner of Perryton, Texas and Donna Hays of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren; Carl Allison, Kalyn Silas, Kody Silas and one great granddaughter, Taylor Allison. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, L.C. Gene Smith, two sisters, Betty Casey and Verna Dice. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rick Harjo officiating. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be: Carl Allison, William Allison, Cody Silas, Chad Jennings, Frank Sewell and Charles Sewell.
