Glen was born on September 9, 1941, at Sacred Heart, Oklahoma. He has been a lifelong resident of the Konawa area. Glen graduated from Maud High School. He enlisted in the army in 1963. He served in Korea. He was later stationed at Fort Knox. Glen was a member of the Armor Branch, his duties included operating tanks. It fascinated his great nephews that he drove tanks in the army. Glen worked many years as a driller and tool pusher for several oil companies, JR Warren and Scott Drilling. He also was a farmer. Glen enjoyed farming and raising cattle on his family farm, well maybe not as much passion on those cold windy winter days of breaking ice and throwing out hay.

Glen was the very definition of “old school.” His parents planted deep roots in loyalty to family, faith, country and hard work. He didn’t know any other way except working long hard days either in the oil field or the farm. He loved his life.Glen will be remembered for his easy laugh, his sense of humor and being a straight shooter, he told it like it was. He always made sure he had gas in his 4 wheelers and fishing poles ready when the kids came around the farm. He leaves us with many wonderful memories.

He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn “Cookie” Bassett and Bob of Maud, Oklahoma, Geneva Heskett and Delbert of Dallas, Texas, brothers, Jerry McCraw of Konawa, Bernard “Dink” McCraw and Sue of Stillwater, Oklahoma, he is also survived by: Bruce McCraw of Konawa and Vickey McCraw-Harjo of Denver, and a very special nephew, Bo Honsinger, as well as many many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his partner of over thirty years, Zelma McCraw, his parents Ed McCraw and Laura (Lehman) McCraw, his brothers, James (Jimmy) McCraw and Emmit McCraw.

Having pastures with cattle he often reminded the kids over all the years to close the gates. Now we can leave the gates open Glen is coming home.
