Gladys Fay Cantrell, 73 Gladys Fay Cantrell a Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 73. Gladys was born on November 17, 1940 in Collin County, Texas to parents, Clyde E. Vaughan, Sr. and Pauline (Martin) Vaughan. Gladys graduated from Garland High School in Garland, Texas and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Point, Texas. Gladys married Fred Ray Cantrell on December 20, 1957 in Garland, Texas. She was a secretary for Texas Instruments for 30 years before her retirement. Gladys and her husband were independent truck drivers for 20 years. Gladys belonged to VFW Association along with her husband; American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Point, Texas. She loved to travel and camp and therefore belonged to the Garland Grasshopper Travel Club. Gladys is survived by one son, Ronald Cantrell and his wife Debbie of McKinney, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Brinsfield and her husband Eric of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one brother, C.E. Vaughan of Heath, Texas; three grandchildren, Dustin Cantrell, Andrea Sampica and Kandece Pettie. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M, Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Point, Texas, 994 Industrial Blvd., Point, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Wounded Warriors. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
