Gerry Richard McAdams Gerry Richard McAdams a resident of Bastrop, Texas passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at Wanette, Oklahoma at the age of 58. Gary was born November 29, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents; Caleph Nowell and Ovella Robertson. Gerry after graduation from High School he attended the University of Texas. Gerry was employed at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center where he was an Animal Research Supervisor for 28 years, he loved working with the chimpanses. Gerry is survived by his step-mother; Medora Nowell, three sons; Richard, Tyrel “Ty” and Matthew, the love of his life Rose, his best friend Gary Lee Robertson, one brother; Terry, two step-brothers, Randy and Rick, four sisters; Sue, Norwetta, Shannan, Beverly, one step-sister Frankie and two grandchildren; Auroara and Sage Gerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jerol and sister, Ellen. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
