Gerald “Keith” Womack , age 73 passed away on August 20, 2021 at McLoud Nursing Center in McLoud, Oklahoma.
Keith was born October 4, 1947 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Gerald Eugene Womack and Georgia Faye (Richards) Lucy. He grew up in Harjo, Oklahoma. After graduation, he attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in both the Army and Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He married Ruby Mae Works on October 31, 1977 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Keith drove trucks across country before he started his own security company, Womack Protection, and provided security for Bricktown in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the VFW. He collected Jack Daniels memorabilia, loved to play pool, and loved to watch westerns. But most of all, he loved his family and spending time with the grandchildren.
Keith is survived by his wife, Ruby Womack of the home; three sons, Brian Womack and wife, Mandy of Dale, Oklahoma, Andre Womack and wife, Kasadee of McLoud, and Joseph Womack of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; two daughters, Lori Brewer and husband, Brian of Maud, and Angi Mohr and husband, Bryce of Bethel, Oklahoma; three brothers, Robert Womack and wife, Tina of Checotah, Oklahoma, Jimmy Womack of Amarillo, Texas, and Billy Womack of Kingfisher, OK; eleven grandchildren, Devin "Geronimo" and Braxton Brewer, Kenna and Jaxon Womack, Kooper and Jeter Womack, Jerol and Gabby Womack, Colin Wilborn, and Abbie and Isaac Mohr; and one great grandchild, Haisleigh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dennis Miller; and one sister, Janice Dimmick.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Bro. Butch Bradley will officiate, and burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud. Casket bearers are James Votaw, Justin Herron, Earl Herron, Jr., Jaxon Womack, Jason Wolf, and James Fife. Visitation will be at Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud Thursday, August 26th from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
