Gerald Roy Reeves, 62 year old life long Seminole County resident passed from this life November 11, 2006 at his home in Seminole County. He was born December 22, 1943 in Maud, Oklahoma to parents Roy Reeves and Quilla O'Dell Meredith (Pratt) Reeves.rnrnGerald graduated from Maud High School in 1962 before serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He married Carrol Catherine (Spurgeon) Reeves on October 8, 1970 in Maud, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 7, 1994.rnrnGerald retired in 1998 as an oilfield toolpusher.rnrnSurvivors include his companion, Sheila (Sanders) Norbury of the home. One daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Timothy Wilson of Gerty, Oklahoma. One step-son, Tyler Dean and his wife Denice of Saint Louis, Oklahoma. One brother and sister-in-law, Darrel and Nancy Reeves of Seminole, Oklahoma. Two sisters, Shelba Crist of Athens, Texas and Jo Elliott and her husband Wiley of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Cousin, Macia and husband Henry Schiro of Kingsville, Texas.rnrnSix grandchildren also survive as well as a number of great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Larry Sneed will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma with military honors provided by the United States Army.rnrnCasket bearers will be: Ty Dean, Dave Green, Joel Fletcher, Jerry McCraw, Emmitt McCraw and Albert Flesher.rnrnHonorary bearers will be: Glenn McCraw, Monty Jordan, Harold Brewer, Bobby Bassett and Gary McClaskey.rnrnVisitation will be held at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud on Monday and Tuesday.
