Gerald “Pat” Francis Patterson, 67 year old former Seminole, Oklahoma resident was born March 22, 1947 in Seminole, the oldest son of the late Geraldine Armelia (Jones) and Bruce Arnold Patterson. Gerald “Pat” accepted Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Seminole, Ok. Gerald “Pat” attended elementary at Booker T. Washington in Seminole, Oklahoma. He attended Seminole High School in Seminole, Oklahoma and continued his education getting his GED in Portland, Oregon. While working at Hercules, Gerald continued his education at Portland Community College, growing in his field of work. Gerald “Pat” moved to Portland in February, 1966 to care for his great grandmother, Anna Sheperd “Ma”. He did odd jobs for his great grandmother to earn money for his family. Then he worked for a pharmaceutical company for a few years. He also worked at the Downtown Hilton and at an umbrella company. Gerald “Pat” began his career at Hercules in July 15, 1968. He worked his way up to Shipping Receiving Distribution Supervisor. Gerald “Pat” retired from Hercules in March 1, 2007. On February 4, 1982 Gerald “Pat” married Victoria Renee Dobson in Portland, Oregon she survives him of the home. Other survivors include one son Gerald B. Patterson (Farrah) of Buffalo, Wyoming; three daughters, Michelle Patterson of Portland, Oregon, Tamara Shemille Lee Patterson of Prinston, New Jersey, Tamara William of Portland, Oregon; one sister, Teresa Tucker of Enid, Oklahoma; special aunt, Dolores Jones of Seminole, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Sequoia Patterson, Eli Patterson and Hayden Patterson; and a host of other family and dear friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the home located at 102 South 2nd Street in Seminole, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. A second celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Colony located at 7525 North Richmond Ave. in Portland, Oregon 97203 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Kidney, Heart, Cancer or Diabetes Foundation.
