Gerald Dean Lane, 75, longtime Seminole resident died Friday, August 5, 2011 at his home in Seminole. Dean was born on January 28, 1936 in Lamar, Oklahoma to John Francis and Lillian Lucille (Cox) Lane. He came to Seminole from Yukon, Oklahoma 47 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Maud, Oklahoma. Dean worked and retired from Atlantic Richfield Company as an electrician. He served as a Tech-Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and was an aircraft electrician from 1954 to 1958. He married Barbara Ann Warden on April 8, 1958 in Ada, Oklahoma. His parents, two brothers John and Jack Lane, preceded him in death. His wife Barbara Ann Lane of Seminole, Oklahoma, survives him. Two sons and a daugher-in-law, Gary and Judy Lane of Seminole, Oklahoma and John Lane of Norman, Oklahoma. Two brothers, Rod Lane of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Ted Lane of El Dorado, California; two sisters Priscilla Wilson of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Mary Lane of Duncan, Oklahoma, also survived him. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Wes Lane and Kimberly Wilson and her husband Tony and one great-grandchild Piper Wilson. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Little Cemetery. Russell Vicars will officiate at the service.
