Gerald Dockery

Gerald Dee Dockery, Sr., 81 Gerald Dee Dockery, Sr. a long time Seminole county resident passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Tecumseh, Oklahoma at the age of 81. Gerald was born on October 13, 1931 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to parents, William Robert Dockery and Louella Maye (West) Dockery. Gerald attended Harjo School and love to attend the school reunions. Being an avid sportsman he loved to hunt, fish and watch sports on the television. He enjoyed socializing; never meeting a stranger he was always willing to talk. He was a Superintendent of Rhoades Oil Company. Gerald married Homa Jean (Pullen) Dockery in Shawnee, Oklahoma on May 7, 1951. She preceded him in death. Gerald is survived by two sons; Mickey Dockery of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Gerald Dockery, Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma, three daughters; Deborah Sipes and her husband Ronnie of McLoud, Oklahoma, Linda Jones of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Jeannie McNeill of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louella; wife, Homa Jean Dockery; two brothers, Louie Dockery, Lee Dockery; four sisters, Geneva Black, Berneice Doty, Lowis Dockery and Juanita Dockery. Graveside funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Little Cemetery with Rev. Bill Chesser officiating.
