Georgia E. Nolen, beloved mother, wife and grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007, at Ada Retirement Center in Ada, OK at the age of 84. rnShe was born November 3, 1923 in Sparks, OK to George Henry and Nora (Leister) Crary. rnShe graduated from Sparks High School.rnGeorgia married F.A. Nolen on October 4, 1943 in Shawnee, OK.rnTo this union two children, Alton Wayne and Carolyn Sue, were born.rnGeorgia worked in the cafeteria at U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City and retired from there in 1984.rnAfter living in Oklahoma City for 35 years, Georgia and F.A. moved to Asher, OK.rnShe is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Sue & Darrell Yott of Asher; one brother, Ralph Crary of Rosemeade, CA; one sister, Wanda Ray of Shawnee; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Nolen of Del City; rnthree grandchildren, Jon Haley of Oklahoma City, Cindy Nolen of Del City and Carrie Milburn of Asher; rnfour great-grandchildren; rntwo great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.rnShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband F.A. Nolen on December 3, 1993 and one son, Alton Wayne Nolen on May 29, 1988.rnrnGraveside services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Avoca Cemetery, North of Asher, with Pastor Pam Shirk officiating.rnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.rnrnrn Funeral Information: November 14, 2007, 2:00 AM
